From the moment Magic Matt and his assistant Chris hit the Noodle Palace stage fully loaded; that in magicians speak means having all the necessary equipment for a night of tricks in your pockets, it was clear the night ahead would be a good one. Quickly forgetting about the fact we were sitting in a garage turned performance venue, Matt’s first trick, making a small fish appear out of a ten dollar note had the audience in complete awe.
The rest of the night was filled with a number of neat tricks performed one after the other in quick succession as Matt took on the challenge of executing as many of the magic tricks he has learnt in the past 30 years in just one hour.
Whilst Matt went off stage for an outfit change his assistant, Chris, who was also a magician, performed a number of clever tricks.
Dressed in a low cut sequined jumpsuit and red hat there was no missing the return of Magic Matt to the stage. This outfit change also saw the end of the restaurant table magic and the beginning of a mind reading segment.
A number of amazing card tricks saw the audience attempting to understand just how he was pulling off all his tricks, but like any good magician he never told.
On occasion a trick that didn’t quite go to plan saw the secret revealed. However these mistakes, thanks to Matt’s talent as an entertainer, became a chance for humour.
As Matt told a joke, he and Chris prepared for the finale, a trick requiring him to get three eggs, all balancing on a rolled up piece of paper, on a plate that was resting on three glasses filled with water. Although it’s a common trick, when executed it never fails to impress and provided the perfect ending to a great show with the whole audience applauding loudly.
Overall Magic Matt Fully Loaded is a fast paced hour of countless wonderful magic tricks and hilarious moments that is guaranteed to leave you wanting more.
